After a grey and slightly wet start the day turned out rather nice with around 35 aircraft deciding to pay us a visit. Highlights of the day included a visiting YAK-52 G-BWVR from Eshott which arrived in formation with our own G-YAKR and proceeded to beat up the airfield in fine style. Simon Johnstone was also on hand to provide a great display in his Isaacs Fury. This is an 80% scale replica of the famous Hawker Fury which was the mainstream of the RAF's fighter force in the late 1920's. Another highlight was the arrival of a Breighton based Bucker Jungmann G-BJAL. The weather did put a dampner on events though, but with local residents making plenty of noise there was always something up and about and with a couple of visiting gems everyone went away happy.
